About Special Feetures

The company began in the 1970’s in Arundel, West Sussex and became Special Feetures Ltd when we relocated to Thames Ditton, near Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, in 1994.   Since then we have grown a lot, and we now supply thousands of women throughout the UK with narrow fitting shoes and shoes in longer sizes.   We pride ourselves on our customer service, which we strive to make second to none.   We offer a free Fitting Service (read more in  ‘Fitting Advice’, where you can download our Fitting Chart).

In 2005 our large size women’s shoes business had increased so much that we set up our sister company ‘after 8 shoes’ which offers a huge range of women’s shoes in UK sizes 8½, 9, 9½, 10, 10½ and 11, in B and average widths only (not AA fittings) from various European and American brands.   There is a link to the ‘after 8 shoes’ website on our home page.  

Near enough to visit?
You are most welcome to visit our small Showroom, where you can see our whole range on display, have your feet properly measured, and of course buy shoes if we have exactly what you want in stock.    We do need you to make an appointment if you wish to visit – our Showroom is small and as we are primarily a Mail Order company our phones are busy, so we need to ensure that visiting customers are spaced out for your benefit as well as ours!   

To make an appointment just call us on 020 8398 8810 with your diary to hand and we can sort out a convenient day and time.  

We are open for visits most weekdays and also on Saturday mornings during busy times of the year.  

We will give you directions when we make your appointment but it might help you to know that we are easily accessible by car (close to M25, A3 etc) and have parking outside our door; by train we are on the Waterloo to Guildford line, our nearest station is Hinchley Wood, an easy 10 minute walk; we are 10 minutes by bus from Kingston or Surbiton with a bus stop very close to our entrance.

Buying from Special Feetures couldn’t be simpler – just pick up the phone and call us on 020 8398 8810 and speak to one of our friendly, experienced, helpful members of staff, part of a team dedicated to giving you personal, knowledgeable help and advice before taking your order.   We give the same high level of service whether you are ordering from our current brochure or from our Special Offers section on this website.

We are always available from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, and often on Saturday mornings in our busy times.   Out of hours you can email us with your query and we will call you back – details in the Contact Us section.

Payment
We take all major Credit and Debit cards, plus Cheques (payable to Special Feetures Ltd).   If you prefer to pay by cheque, please call and place your order before sending so that we can be sure they are in stock and that a pair can be set aside for you.

Post and Packing
Standard delivery is £3.50 per pair (Royal Mail Tracked), First Class is £5 (Royal Mail Recorded Delivery) & Guaranteed Next Day £7 (Royal Mail Special Delivery). Standard P&P is free on all special offers from this website.   We will gladly add alternative delivery info or addresses if that suits.

Delivery
All special offers from this website and all instock brochure styles will be with you within 2 to 4 working days (standard delivery).   Otherwise allow about 28 days unless we advise you differently.    

Collection from our Showroom
If you are near enough to visit you are welcome to collect your order from our Showroom – we will call you when they are here, and we hold them for up to a week. You don’t need to make an appointment, you just need to tell us which day so that we can have them ready for you to try on.

‘No Quibble Refund’
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order we give a full refund for any shoes ordered by phone so long as they are returned within 10 days, unworn and in their original packaging.     

About our shoes
Many of our shoes are imported directly by us from the USA.  Our brands are all well known in the USA, although not generally available here in the UK.   We look for quality, consistency, style and fit, and we personally assess every single style before we put it in our Brochure.
